Sandi is a Nebraska native who enjoys capturing images to share. She has a deep love for nature and the quiet life. She grew up on a Nebraska farm. Something that sets her work apart is her pairing of the images with inspirational quotes or scripture verses. This is done in a double opening mat and tastefully framed in simple style. Kay and Mary go to Munce Christian Product Expo in Murfeesboro, TN: Posted 9/19/2011 5:16:38 PM
Mary and I attended the Christian Product Expo in Murfreesboro, TN (suburb of Nashville) last week. We had a great time, and even accomplished some business! Sunday afternoon was full of encouragement from authors Pete Wilson and Lisa Harper. The Gettys, a couple from Ireland, entertained us with wonderful worship music. They have a Christmas album releasing soon and I cant wait to listen to it as I decorate my tree! Mary and I were both touched by the teaching and musica real balm to our souls. The absolute highlight of the day (for me, the entire conference) was listening to Michael W. Smith play and sing while standing about 15 feet away! It was heaven here on earth! We raised our daughters listening to Smitty, and he is my favorite. When he sang There She Stands the tears rolled down my cheeks, remembering 9/11/2001 and the love of our country. By the way, he also has a new, instrumental CD releasing in November. Not Christmas though. Mary and I also saw a movie preview of C is for Christmas, one you wont want to miss this year!Monday was market, buying for the Abbey for the Christmas season. We found some new, fun products as well as the never-be-outs. One thing I am very excited about is a new line of jewelry we purchased. It is beautiful, designed around putting on the armor of God. I am anxious for it to arrive in the store. Monday evenings speaker is a favorite of MarysDave Ramsey, financial guru, entertained us for 45 minutes with his wit and wisdom regarding leadership and finances. Books were signed and pictures taken! Tuesday was more buying and schoomzing. We accomplished our goals, finished early and headed back to NE. We had fun, didnt stay up too late and were uplifted by the amazing authors and artists we saw. God blessed us with a wonderful and productive trip.

As everyone else was Fall cleaning their homes, The Abbey was doing some Fall cleaning of their own. We redesigned our entire store just in time for the holiday season. Although we''ve changed our look we haven''t changed our customer service or commitment to serving the community with Christian products and gifts. All the greeting cards and envelopes are printed in Boulder, CO on recycled paper using soy based inks. Good for the environment and good for the funny bone.
